Pinterest for Growth

The wait is over…I am three months into my Pinterest journey and let me tell you, it is going GREAT! I heard Pinterest was a powerful search engine and that it really helped stimulate blog growth. For 2019, I made it a goal to redirect my focus from Instagram to Pinterest… the results are shocking! I have another goal for 2019, and that is to deliver VALUE to my readers and followers… so here I go sharing my Pinterest tips and tricks:

  • Create a new account. Let’s start with a fresh slate. For 2019, I did just that and created a business Pinterest account. This would be my “professional” Pinterest, where I would make every pin count. I have a personal account, where I keep my favorite quotes, pictures, etc. I still use this personal account for Instagram stories and captions, but it is quite messy (like my brain) and not professional. Include a bio that is short and sweet and to the point!
  • Think about your boards. Create boards that relate to your company or personal brand. For example, some of my boards are “Health and Fitness” and “Places to Go.” These boards tie in with my overall vibe of happy and healthy and my love for travel.
  • Consistency is KEY. Every single day SHOW UP, and pin. I try to pin around 5-10 pins each day. It may take some time to see results, so please stay positive and give it time! Pinterest is available in an app too, so you can pin on the go! This has definitely helped me stay on track when it comes to using the app daily.
  • Create Pins! This is pretty self-explanatory, but make sure you are creating pins to showcase your website. Here is an example of a Pin I created for my blog post on Universal:

Hopefully, these tips will work for you as you begin your Pinterest journey. It takes time, and I am still growing and learning through it all.

Any questions? Feel free to shoot me message or leave a comment! Happy Pinning!
