Since moving to Florida, we have had quite a few visitors and I learned a lot about hosting while enjoying a staycation with each visit. Today, I am sharing 3 staycation tips that allow you to enjoy the moment and entertain effortlessly, while creating lasting memories with your loved ones.
Firstly, have an idea of a game plan in mind. Even if you prefer to be spontaneous or your guests want go with the flow, it is important to have some ideas for plans ahead of time. This avoids any down time spent wondering what to do or where to go and allows you to enjoy each and every moment. I’d suggest having a list of indoor and outdoor local hot spots, this can be restaurants, entertainment, or nature destinations. Take a look at Google and read reviews to see where to go and if reservations are required.

Next, review your schedule and take time off work if needed. It’s important that your visitors feel like you are making them a priority, whether they say so or not. PLUS, life is too short to not spend it with the ones you love! Take time off to be present with your guests and enjoy the moment. If you can not take any time off, schedule the visit around a weekend to avoid missing any of the fun!

Lastly, capture some nice photos together. Recently, we had some family come to visit and before our dinner, we took some nice photos together. We were already dressed and ready for dinner and we found a nice spot near the restaurant to capture these memories. It’s a great option to batch the photos and capture them at once, so you can enjoy each moment and capture candids the remainder of the trip!

When hosting visitors in Florida, it’s important to plan ahead for a seamless staycation. Prepare a list of local hot spots, take time off work to prioritize your guests, and capture memorable photos together. These tips ensure you can enjoy the moment and entertain effortlessly, creating lasting memories with your loved ones. Hope you enjoyed these tips for enjoying a staycation while entertaining!
