Recently, my friends and I took a day trip to Angry Orchard in Walden NY. If you are a hard cider fan, you may enjoy Angry Orchard Hard Cider. My friends and I are fans of cider, and planned taking a trip here for a while. We finally made it happen… on possibly the coldest day ever.
Depending on where you live, Walden NY may be a long ride. It took us just under two hours to get there. Our friend offered to drive; however, you may want to look into airbnbs or a hotel nearby.
Upon arrival, we were very confused on how it all worked… there was little guidance/signage, so let me break it down for you:
First, check in at the front desk, show your ID, and receive a wristband and a bottle cap. The bottle cap will get you a free sampler flight downstairs.
Next, head downstairs and pick up a sampler flight at the table. You can then sample the options and purchase your favorites at the stands.
The tours were sold out, so I recommend purchasing tickets for them online in advance.

I tried the Ginger Honey and Wooden Sleeper Angry Orchard. Thomas and I shared these delicious donuts. I highly recommend the donuts. As for the drinks, the Ginger Honey was bitter and the Wooden Sleeper was super strong… tasted like bourbon. I enjoyed both though!
Another tip- DRESS WARM. It was super cold outside, and the indoor seating was very limited. We migrated in and out frequently to stay warm. We wore winter coats, and were glad that we did.
On our drive home, we stopped for dinner. Angry Orchard has two food trucks with options; however, we were looking for something a little more filling and the ability to sit down indoors. We enjoyed dinner together and continued our drive back. By the end of the day, we were all exhausted. Cider + food + car rides = a good long day.
