2024, it’s a good year to have a good year!
From small goals, including less “ums” in my podcast episodes to larger personal and career goals, it’s important to write these down and work towards them each and every day!

If you are ready to create some goals, but are not sure where to start here are a few easy prompts:
-Reflect on where you have been, use where you are as a starting point. Are you happy with your environment, career, relationships, etc? These can be great stepping stones to formulating your goals.
-Think about the year as one big chunk broken into smaller more manageable chunks… for example, you have 4 quarters in a year or 12 months… What is one thing you’d like to accomplish throughout 2024? How can you break this into manageable less stressful tasks?
-Upgrade a habit. Are you a gym rat or just getting started? Are you reading or working towards your side hustles as much as you could or should? Use these current habits as starting points for a larger goal!

I plan to set yearly and monthly goals, and at the beginning of each month carve out time to evaluate how I am doing and where I am at. How can my monthly goals push me towards my yearly goals? Are my goals obtainable or too high for a shorter time frame? We will learn all of these as we go!
Now let’s start with January, what would you like to accomplish this winter before we start February? You can log your goals in your planner like me, plaster them on a poster board, or write them on a post-it note. Whatever you choose to do, I recommend writing them down over using the notes app. Mind muscle connection of physically putting pen to paper is a powerful thing.
As we are focused, ready to be productive, and ready to tackle our goals, I wanted to take a second to discuss Magic Mind. We have a lot of exciting things ahead of us in 2024 and new ideas to try, so let’s be real.. we NEED to be productive! This means cutting out the procrastination and multiple cups of coffee. The Magic Mind team created a rad offer for me to share with you guys. You can get 1 month free, when subscribing for 3 months at Magicmind.com/JANBecks. Use my code BECKS20 for an extra 20% off, which gets you to a 75% off! This only lasts until the end of January, so hurry before it goes away.

Now for the vision board… Yours truly made one in a recent year with good old magazine clippings and guess what? The board came true… I am not one to believe in manifesting, but I do believe in hard work and constant reminders of how we need to push ourselves to get to where we need to be. We need structure and direction and vision boards provide a wonderful overview of our goals and aspirations for the new year.
A few things to think about when creating yours: Do you want to move and buy a house? Get a new car? Start a new career? Try a new hobby? Workout and get in shape? Run a marathon? Get REALLY good at your current hobby? Learn a new language? Put yourself out there? Launch a podcast? Think about some things you want to do throughout the year and lay them out on your poster board or cork board. You can also add some motivational quotes in there to keep you moving and grooving.
Magazines got EXPENSIVE… so if you are looking for a budget-friendly option, snag a corkboard from Walmart and print your pins from Pinterest! Try the dollar store for supplies, paint, stickers, tape, markers, etc. Maybe add some fun bows or disco balls?
I choose to keep my vision board to myself and a few close peeps, I think it’s important to do more moves, less announcements. Get it DONE, then you can chat about it later.
Hope you enjoyed this episode/blog post! Let’s chat next week!
