Are you wondering what’s to come for social media marketing in 2024? Today we are diving into some predictions for 2024 social media trends!

Welcome back, besties! How’s your 2024 going so far? Mine has been productive and I have been taking it day by day. I hope your January is off to a great start! If not, there’s still plenty of time to get on track!

Since this is also a podcast episode, we are catching up on our two micro-segments before diving into the trends.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again…critical thinking and thinking for yourself is essential for growth. I realized that people who do not think for themselves may feel uncomfortable and may not like it. It’s a risk I am willing to take!

Moving on… Our 2023 trends episode was the MOST listened to podcast throughout 2023, you little social media nerds you. I am so excited to be back for another episode in 2024.

Let’s jump right into the trends list!

1. Keywords over hashtags! Highly recommend typing out those captions to include keywords over hashtags. More and more often people are using social media as a search engine and these keywords will help your posts get the recognition they deserve!

2. Long-Form Content makes a comeback! In 2024, we may see a shift from short-form trending audio to long form original content. People love viewing vlogs and feeling connected to the content creator. This also applies to storytelling and more casual sitting down or getting ready for the day videos where the creator talks to the camera in a friendly, personable tone.

3. The 90s and nostalgia is here to stay in 2024. From editing styles to fashion choices, the 90s and Y2k vibes continue into the new year.

4. TikTok brings in substantial ROI for brands with TikTok Shopping!

5. AI continues to enter the chat with caption writing, posts, backgrounds, and more! Are you ready? What are your thoughts? I will be honest caption writing has been useful for me! I feel like if we have the tools to make things simpler, why not use them? It’s definitely not a replacement for me, but more of a tool to improve efficiency. Let me know your thoughts!
