“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” -Mark Twain
20 years from now, it will not matter what clothing I wore, how many “likes” I got, what make up I had on, or if my shoes matched my outfit.
20 years from now, I want to look back and say I enjoyed life, I learned a lot, and I laughed until my stomach hurt. I spent quality time with my family and friends. I lived in the moment, I got off the never-ending instagram scroll.
20 years from now, I will have added to my ever-growing adventure list. I stayed true to myself, and I didn’t let the opinions of others hold me back or influence my thoughts. I spoke my mind, I stayed strong in my beliefs. I explored, I dreamed, and I discovered.
I have been thinking a lot about this lately, and I am realizing more and more what is really important in life. I find that writing or typing things out can help manifest those future plans. As we enter a new month, take some time to think about how you want to feel by the end of this month, and think about how you want to feel 20 years from now.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead- this is your reminder to stay true to YOU and your beliefs. This is your life- explore, dream, discover. How do you want to feel 20 years from now?
I want to have helped people achieve the level of literacy that they need to accept responsibility for their own use of language (for example: they would understand that Google spies on its users [in order to better manipulate them], and therefore people should refuse to use any / all of their services). Declare independence from such manipulation! 😀
