3 Ways to Get Back on Track after Holiday Weekend

I hope you had a wonderful Independence Day Weekend full of good times. I also hope that you ENJOYED yourself and did not stress. I spent my holiday weekend at  the Jersey Shore and Hershey Park Stadium. On July 4th, we went to our favorite beach for some swimming, surfing, and fishing. It was a great time. On July 5th, we drove to Hershey Park Stadium to see Blink 182 and Lil Wayne in concert! SO MUCH FUN. We then headed back to the beach on July 6th, and then up to Long Island on July 7th… what a weekend!

Anyways, let’s get to it.

3 tips to get back on track after a holiday weekend:

  1. Get a good workout in. This morning, I woke up and had my healthy breakfast, did some work and then got in a great at home workout. Today was triceps and back followed by inner/outer thigh. This afternoon, I took a break and went for a quick 2.3 mile run outside. The sky finally cleared up, which was awesome.
  2. HYDRATE. I can not stress this one enough. Hydrate your body with water, and healthy beverages. I love drinking this KEVITA probiotic as well as green tea to detox. If you are tired of water, I recommend seltzer as well.

3. Get those healthy groceries!

This is SO key. You are more likely to consume what you have in front of you. Make sure those options are HEALTHY. This is an easy, simple way to get back into it. Incorporate GREENS at least once a day.

4. Bonus: Make a fun healthy recipe. My friend shared a recipe with me for healthy cinnamon twists. I tweaked this recipe a little bit for extra protein by incorporating fewer rolls and powdered peanut butter.

Enjoying yourself and living in the moment is so important, so I hope you were able to do so! Let’s rock this week!
