Let’s be real, it is Summer down the shore and that means a lot of Quickchek and Wawa trips. It also means a lot of living for the moment/”treat yoself” during beach days. I’m here to tell you that you do not have to limit yourself or restrict your diet. You can still enjoy and eat with your friends while maintaining that summer body you work hard for.
Today, we are discussing Wawa Hoagiefest. This is a popular event in NJ as Wawa is very popular down at the Jersey Shore. Hoagiefest is a special promotion where Wawa subs are offered at very inexpensive prices.

- Classic: $5
Yours truly loves a good sub, and I trust Wawa to make a very good one.
I am not an expert; however, I want to share a quick, easy sub order. I enjoy this one and if you try it, I hope you do too!
Here is my go to order:
- Shorti Roll
- Oven Roasted Turkey
- No Cheese
- Roasted Red Peppers
Some items I skip: Mayo, cheese, dressings, etc. The vinegar does the trick for me, as I do not enjoy a soggy sub (plus it saves me calories)! I ensure that there is a decent amount of protein in there. Occasionally, I will add avocado for some healthy fats.
According to the checkout monitor, this sub comes in at 350 calories. I am not one to calorie count, but I think this sub + a snack makes for a great lunch. (For $4 how can you go wrong?)
