GIVE YOURSELF SOME CREDIT

Instead of thinking about where you “should” be or what you “could” be doing, take a second TODAY to appreciate how far you’ve come! Often in life, we get caught up in what everyone else is doing…. the timelines of others, the expectations we feel… but the truth is, there is no set timeline to life! I chose to trust in the universe, and believe that everything happens at the right time for a reason. We live, we learn, and we grow at our own pace.

Let’s just say my twenties are not exactly a walk in the park. I had really great adventures, but I also had really tough times. I choose to share about some of these times, but not all of them. Remember that everyone is fighting some sort of battle. Be kind. You never know what someone is going through, even if it seems great from the outside.

Today, I want you to think about 3 things that you’re proud of- they can be big accomplishments or small moments:

I’ll start. I am proud of myself because:

  1. I stepped out of my comfort zone. I traveled and adventured to new places. I worked as a character at Walt Disney world, went hiking in Yosemite, swam with sharks in The Bahamas, and went skydiving.
  2. I overcame an eating disorder in my early twenties. This was a long road and difficult process to reverse the body dysmorphia and negative thoughts. At 25, I can say I’m in a happy healthy place & I’m at peace with my body.
  3. I put myself out there on social media, regardless of what people might think. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I hope my messages resonate with readers. There are times of feeling vulnerable, but I believe that goes along with being a strong blogger.

Now, it’s your turn! Give yourself some credit, and take some time to reflect on how far you’ve come.

I’m proud of you for how far you’ve come, and can’t wait to see where you’ll go. ☺️
