2019:Year in Review

Where did 2019 go?! Do you feel like 2019 flew by too? I find it hard to believe that 2019 is coming to an end, but with a new year comes new opportunities. I am so ready for 2020 to be the best year yet!

While I am looking forward to a new year, I believe it is important to reflect on the previous year and to remember the good times and learn from the not-so-good times. This 2019 recap may seem a bit selfish when my blog is primarily audience-based; however, I love to write and this is important to me, so I hope you’ll stick around and feel inspired to review your year as well.

January:

2019 started off with a low key New Years Eve/New Years Day. At the time, I was working for a swimwear brand, and I really just started seeing success and opportunities come from my social media account. I had the opportunity to attend an event with Abercrombie & Fitch in NYC, went to Surf Expo, and trained for the Disney Princess 10k.

Surf Expo:

Thomas flew in for a quick Disney getaway together! I mean, I was already in Orlando… so why not right?!

What a month!

February:

It was training time, family time, and work time. I continued to hustle with content creation, posting daily, and stepping up my game, while training for the 10k and working a job as well!

I also attending New York Fashion Week- which was incredibly lame. Hey, I have to be honest with you guys! I still had a fun night with my friend Hannah.

March:

My cousin and I flew to Orlando (3rd time for me this year) and went to Universal Studios!

It was a fun girls trip!

The remainder of March was full of more instagram collaborations, work, and celebrating my 25th birthday! My friends, Thomas, and I headed to Vermont for a fun birthday weekend. We went skiing and had a great time!

Photos from Vermont:

The last weekend of March, my dad and I ventured to Washington DC to see the Cherry Blossom Festival! What beautiful sights! The end of March, I took on my social media freelance and content creation FULL TIME.

April:

April was pretty low key. Thomas and I had some fun day trips, Binx celebrated his birthday, and I spent a lot of time with good friends and motivating people.

May:

May was one of the best months out of the year. My friend and I went on a crazy road trip out west to various national parks. I saw the most beautiful sights.

June:

It was time for another quick little Disney trip… because why not right?

July:

Beach trips, sunflower fields, and the balloon festival! What a fun month under the sun.

August:

LBI trips, blogger meet ups, and celebrating 7 years with Thomas! I liked August a lot. It was a period of growth for me and a time to just be with my friends.

September:

Block Island collaboration, Sea Hear Now Music Festival, and the water lantern festival! Now that I think about it, September was really awesome too.

October:

From EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival to getting reposted by my favorite blogger ever, it is fair to say that October really rocked too.

November:

Lots of work on my goals and dreams in November- from collaborations to creating valuable content to stepping up my photography. I also made sure to spend time with good friends, and enjoyed a day trip to Angry Orchard.

December:

More collabs and more fun- December was full of good times and also some stressful days. We went to Boston and NYC. This month seemed to fly by.

As I look back, I realize that 2019 was really AWESOME! Wow, I feel super blessed. This year was full of adventure, and a common theme. “Nothing changes if nothing changes.” In 2019, I definitely pushed myself to get out there whenever possible and I am so glad I did. 2020 has some tough competition, but I am feeling so good going into a new year full of endless opportunities and adventures!

Cheers to 2020!
